During Homecoming events at the school earlier this month, Jovon Williams, 18, a member of the violent DC street gang, "Kennedy Street Crew," or "KDY," was among those who shot and injured four men and a woman - four of whom were students - on Tuesday, Oct. 3.

A second juvenile suspect has already been arrested and charged with multiple counts of attempted murder and other offenses.

Williams - who also goes by the name "Javan Williams, or Choo Chewy" - is also facing first-degree attempted murder and similar charges, but he has remained elusive to law enforcement investigators attempting to hunt him down.

Williams has also been charged federally and has been wanted since July for offenses that include:

  • Conspiracy to commit drug trafficking;
  • Possession of firearms in furtherance of drug trafficking;
  • Possession of firearms by persons convicted of a crime;
  • Assault with a dangerous weapon;
  • Conspiracy to commit money laundering.

A reward of up to $10,000 has been offered by the US Marshals for information that leads to Williams' arrest and prosecution. Metro Crime Stoppers has also offered up to $9,000 for tipsters.

Anyone with information regarding Williams or his whereabouts has been asked to contact federal investigators by calling 1-877-WANTED2 (926-8332).
